Meet Gurjinder Singh Gavy
President of Student Union India Australia | National General Secretary, Indian Overseas Youth Congress – Australia
Working from grassroots in India to communities in Australia to build unity, opportunity and hope.
He is the recipient of the La Trobe Multicultural Award 2024 for his outstanding contributions to multicultural communities, and has been officially recognized by government leaders including Stephen Bali MP.
In 2022, he was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Social Work by the International Internship University.
He has also been honored by the Chandigarh United Nations Association for his charitable work in disability support, COVID-19 relief, cancer awareness, and elderly care.
Through his leadership at Reach Support Services for Homeless and Disability Inc., Gurjinder continues to empower communities, deliver food and shelter, and advocate for social justice.
